Roman Datsenko

Chief Executive Officer

Roman Datsenko has more than 25 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering and metallurgy. He is a qualified chief engineer and engineer constructor and holds the Mechanical Engineering Master's degree from Sumy State University. Prior to starting his own Scientific and Production Enterprise "Electromash'', Roman spent over 10 years as a Chief project engineer and Engineer constructor in All-Union Scientific Research Institute of Nuclear Power Pump Building and Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas.

Extensive professional and business experience, particularly numerous scientific studies and collaboration with global projects that are part of the METINVEST Investment holding, served as the foundation for the development of the UNDERESLAB Company.

Work experience

1990 – 2000: All-Union Scientific Research Institute of Nuclear Power Pump Building, Sumy, Ukraine.

Mechanical Seals Department, Laboratory of Friction Pair Materials and Design of Mechanical Seals for Liquid Pumps and Gas Compressor Units.

Position: Engineer constructor, Chief project engineer.

 

2000 – 2002: Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine.

Industrialization of technology for the production of superhard wear-resistant ceramic materials.

Position: Chief project engineer.

Since 2002 – till now: Establishment of my own company Scientific and Production Enterprise "Electromash", Sumy, Ukraine.

 

Since 2022 – till now: organization and development of a separate company  «UNDERESLAB» United development and research laboratory in Riga, Latvia.

The direction of the company's activity is the development and implementation of promising innovative technologies, including the development and manufacture of pilot samples of industrial equipment, mass production of motor vehicle parts.

1985 – 1989: Machine-building College at Sumy State University, Sumy, Ukraine. Obtained his Bachelor’s.

1990 – 1996: Sumy State University, Sumy, Ukraine. Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering.

Development and implementation of projects for the creation or reconstruction, modernization of existing thermal furnaces of the technological cycle in heavy metallurgy.

The purpose of reconstruction or replacement with a new one is energy efficiency, environmental safety and technological excellence.

 

Cooperation with a group of manufacturing companies included in the Investment Holding of the Industrial Union of Donbass from 2004 to 2022, both independently and in partnership with "INVENTUM" (https://inventum.com.ua/en/).

Cooperation with a group of Chinese companies based in Beijing that work in the field of new materials and high technologies and are members of the China National Association of Engineering Consultants (http://www.cnaec.com.cn/, https://fidic.org/) from 2006 to 2019.

Since 2020 – till now: active cooperation with PCC CE (https://www.pcc.eu/), Development of technology for industrial production of silicon (Si) nanopowder for the production of high-performance batteries for electric vehicles, development of technology for large-scale production of SiClâ‚„ in terms of chlorination.

The qualified and experienced team with a multifaceted, accumulated over many years experience in implementing projects from concept to large-capacity mass production, with a large case of promising developments and patents, can and should have a reliable platform and the ability to implement their ideas and ambitions for the benefit of the confident development of a democratic community.

Competence: titanium and zirconium powder metallurgy; processes and technologies for production of titanium, zirconium and alloys based on them; processes and technologies of production of powder metal compositions for additive technologies and powder metallurgy

 

A member of Technical Committee for Standardization "Powder Metallurgy" (TK 54).

 

Number of scientific and methodological works – more then 50, 15 scientific articles (7 of them in Scopus scientific-metric database and Web of Science, 5 articles in professional journals of Ukraine), 9 patents of Ukraine, 1 patent application for European Patent Office; 26 theses in collections of materials of conferences, including 6 international).

The results implemented at the following companies:

​

The technology of production of zirconium sponge by the method of magnesium thermal reduction of zirconium tetrachloride using additives, technological recommendations and technological regimes has been developed in the conditions of PJSC "Titanium Institute" in accordance with the implementation of the State target economic program “Nuclear Fuel of Ukraine” and Targeted comprehensive scientific research program of NAS of Ukraine “Scientific support of nuclear energy complex and perspective nuclear technologies”.

 

The technology of obtaining alloyed titanium sponge has been tested in the conditions of PJSC "Titanium Institute" (Zaporizhzhya, Ukraine).

 

The technological recommendations and technological regimes of titanium alloys powders production of by the method of hydrogenation-dehydrogenation have been developed, technological recommendations and technological regimes have been worked out in the conditions of "Zaporizhia Metallurgical Research Plant" (Zaporizhzhya, Ukraine).

 

Technological recommendations and technological modes of production of titanium sponge technology developed in production at enterprises: ZTMK, UKTMK, Pangang Group International Economic & Trading Co., Ltd, Yunnan Metallurgical Xinli Titanium Industry Co., Ltd (CHINA).
